Established to bridge the gap between release gates and stable employment, the SISU Freedom Foundation was built on a simple premise: individuals leaving incarceration require concrete operational lifelines, not charitable platitudes. Our founders brought together trade instructors, restorative justice advocates, and fair-chance employers to construct a sustainable ecosystem of support.
From early mentorship circles inside facilities to regional trade training workshops, every phase of our growth has been guided by the unyielding determination of our participants and the conviction that talent and accountability are never bounded by background checks.
Replacing charity mindsets with self-determined growth.
Traditional reentry models often operate from a perspective of management and oversight, treating participants as subjects of correction rather than agents of their own futures. At SISU, we reject paternalistic approaches in favor of rigorous, practical readiness. Our framework centers on personal agency, vocational mastery, and restorative accountability.
By providing transparent housing leads, verified trade education, and direct channels to fair-chance employers, we ensure that every participant steps into society equipped for long-term independence. Reintegration is demanding work; our role is to provide the unyielding operational backing required to stay the course.
Reentry is hard work, and we don't sugarcoat the hurdles. Sisu means showing up on day one and staying the course until stability takes root.
